St. Patrick's Day in San Francisco

San Francisco is a great place to be during Saint Patrick's Day!

Our City has numerous events that cater to everyone's taste, from pub crawls to concerts and parties. Let's dive into some of the best ways to celebrate this festive holiday in San Francisco.

One of the most popular ways to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day is by attending the St. Paddy's Day Party at Schroeder's. Located downtown at 240 Front St., the party starts at 3 in the afternoon and ends at 10 pm on March 17th. The party includes green beer, live music, and lots of fun. This year's special guest is DJ Jerry Ross, who will be sure to keep you and your partying friends entertained throughout the evening. Grab some green garb and your friends, and head over to Schroeder's for a great time!

Another San Francisco tradition is St. Paddy's Day at the Buena Vista, https://www.thebuenavista.com/home/home.html . This is the place where Irish Coffee was invented. Believe it or not, my 29-year-old nephew had never had an Irish Coffee before so we headed there last weekend when he was visiting.  Located near Fisherman's Wharf and the Hyde & Powell Street s cable car turnaround, the cafe will be serving up traditional Saint Patrick's Day dishes. You may indulge in corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread, and other Buena Vista favorites all day long on March 17th. Make sure to indulge in at least one of their famous Irish Coffees during your visit. Buena Vista Cafe is open from 9 am to 11 pm, so you can enjoy this festive holiday at any time during the day.

For those who want to experience San Francisco's nightlife scene while celebrating Saint Patrick's Day, participating in a pub crawl might be the perfect option.

San Francisco has several pub crawls to choose from, such as the St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl Party on Friday, which starts at 6 pm at Mayes on 1233 Polk Street. This pub crawl will take you through some of San Francisco's funnest bars, where you can enjoy drinks and great company. Alternatively, you can join the St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl on March 18th, which begins at 2 pm at Mayes on 1233 Polk Street. Either way, you'll be sure to have a great time exploring San Francisco's nightlife scene while celebrating Saint Patrick's Day.

No matter how you decide to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day, attending a concert can be a great way to enjoy the festivities. San Francisco has several concerts happening during the holiday, such as John Mellencamp's performances at the Golden Gate Theatre on March 17th and 18th. This Grammy-winning artist is known for his heartland rock and Americana music, making him the perfect entertainment for Saint Patrick's Day. Another great option is the Parokya Ni Edgar concert at the Warfield on March 17th and 18th. This Filipino rock band is known for their lively performances and upbeat music, making them the perfect entertainment for a festive celebration.

As you can see, San Francisco has plenty of options to choose from when it comes to celebrating Saint Patrick's Day. Whether you're looking for a fun party, a delicious meal, an active pub crawl, a cultural experience, or some great music, there is something for everyone. So, put on your green attire, gather your friends, and enjoy the festive atmosphere of Saint Patrick's Day in San Francisco. Cheers to a wonderful celebration! Erin Go Bragh!!!
