The Central Richmond Lifestyle

The Central Richmond Neighborhood is one of four smaller neighborhoods that together make up the entire Richmond District. The area was first settled by an Australian Immigrant who named his house the Richmond House after a suburb located in Melbourne. The district however was officially named Park-Presidio District by the city in 1917. Locals somewhat ignored the official naming and continued to call it Richmond District and eventually, the city followed and gave it the name Richmond District.

Central Richmond is located between Inner Richmond and Outer Richmond. It is bounded by Park Presidio BLVD on the east, California Street on the north, Fulton on the south, and 32nd on the West. Central Richmond holds a unique diverse cultural atmosphere that is quiet but still recognized as desirable. Many families have lived here for generations. There are several great spaces to get outside and Clement Street offers a great collection of local businesses as eclectic as the real estate choices.
