Celebrate Easter at the second-annual Castro Easter Eggstravaganza Block Party, with activities for all ages including free photos with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, and an Easter bonnet contest with a grand prize of $500. Join Brave Church for Easterfest, a full Easter celebration with uplifting music, a welcoming community, and a special message on the true meaning of Easter. Experience a Nordic-inspired Easter celebration at the Scandinavian School & Cultural Center (in the Forest Hill Extension neighborhood) with Easter arts & crafts featuring feathers, chicks, and hand-painted eggs. This event is open to children of all ages and their parents, and will include an egg hunt, fika, and a visit from Påskgumman all the way from Blåkulla!

Mount Davidson Sunrise Service

Join thousands of locals and visitors for the 99th Annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Mt. Davidson Cross, located at the highest point in San Francisco. This non-denominational service starts at 7:00 am on Easter morning, and a shuttle service will take you to the park gate. Hiking is required once you arrive, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Dolores Park with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a "leading-edge order of queer nuns," host an annual festival on Sunday, April 9, featuring both a children's event with an Easter egg hunt and other fun activities from 10:30 am to 12 pm, as well as an adults-only portion of the day featuring the famous "Hunky Jesus" contest and a new "Foxy Mary" contest. Live entertainment, music, and more will be on offer from 12 pm to 4 pm. All events will take place at Dolores Park.
